Equipment Guidelines For All Events

Commonality between Men's & Women's Equipment

  • Women can easily compete against Men on a hydrofoiled Moth with the same equipment.
  • A female finished 16th out of 99 boats in the 2008 Worlds.

Suitable for racing in 5 - 25 knots of wind

  • 5 knots - top speed approx 14 knots, upwind speed 12 knots maximum.
  • 10 knots - top speed approx 18 knots, upwind speed 14 knots maximum.
  • 15 knots - top speed approx 23 knots, upwind speed 16 knots maximum.
  • 20 knots - top speed approx 25 knots, upwind speed 17 knots maximum.
  • 25 knots - top speed approx 27 knots , upwind speed 18 knots maximum.

  • The Bladerider RX is 9.795 Euro or US$13,995 ready to sail and includes shipping, travel box and foil covers.

Ease of transport for type of equipment
